We are proud to announce that with the support of the European Union’s Creative Europe programme, the European Media Art Network (EMARE) will expand from 4 to 11 countries, and transform into the European Media Art Platform (EMAP) by the end of this year. The platform will officially announce its launch on 1st of February 2018 at transmediale festival in Berlin. Consequently the European Media Artists in Residence Exchange (EMARE), the oldest media art residency program which will celebrate its 23rd anniversary in 2018, will continue its work and become the biggest international residency platform for emerging media artists.
EMAP/EMARE offers residencies to new media artists in the fields of digital media, computer-based art, filmmaking, media based performance, sound, and video across its 11 member countries. Alongside this, participating artists are supervised and mentored by the art market and film industry experts, and become a part of an extended touring programme through the different members’ festivals.
